A left turn so severe that it would cause a NASCAR driver to black out…

Just to give you an idea of how nutty the Democrat Party has become, click here.  Peter Schiff posed as a liberal pollster and asked Democrat delegates if they would support banning corporate profits.   Oh, while they were asking Democrat delegates, they also ran into a delegate boasting she would like to kill Mitt Romney.  In public…. on camera.

Folks, this is not outside with the OWS….this in inside the Democrat convention.  They’re nuts.

The Miraculous Life of Barack Obama

Nice video by Bill Whittle providing more insight about Obama’s life and the ‘miracles’ of his success.  Worth 5 minutes of your time.

A penny for your thoughts, Barry. Yeah, even though I’m subsidizing it.

Obama’s Marxist Markers in his political DNA: Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod

Posted in Democrat Memory Hole, Fascism/Nazism/Communism, Liberal Hypocrisy, Obama, Progressivism with tags , , , , on August 6, 2012 by b5blue

I’d previously replied to a liberal commenter’s contention that Obama had no Marxist influence here and here.  He abandoned his contention after my first post to (probably) resume his pastel world of unicorn milk and perpetual happy endings.

Paul Kengor and The American Spectator provide more evidence.   Raw Marxism part:

And what about David Axelrod?

Axelrod is a native New Yorker who, in the 1970s, found himself and his political calling in Chicago, where he went to college and worked for newspapers as a political journalist. (See my March 2012 Spectator profile of David Axelrod.) There, Axelrod was mentored by the Canter family, namely David Canter. The Canter family’s Soviet/communist roots were deep. David and his family had lived in Moscow just before Chicago. His father, Harry Canter, worked there as an official translator of Lenin’s writings. Harry, who had been secretary of the Boston Communist Party and ran for governor of Massachusetts on the Communist Party ticket, did this as a literal employee of Stalin’s government.

There are several key names here. Let me sum up:

Frank Marshall Davis mentored Barack Obama. The Canter family mentored David Axelrod, who got Obama elected president. Vernon Jarrett’s daughter-in-law is Valerie Jarrett, and Robert Taylor was Valerie Jarrett’s grandfather. Jarrett is Obama’s top presidential adviser. In other words, Obama’s political ancestor worked with the political ancestors of Axelrod and Jarrett.

Oh, and they all called themselves progressives.

Yes, we have a White House full of Marxists.  Liberals can’t deny otherwise.

More reasons to abolish the Dept. of Education

Director Blue has a great piece detailing the efforts by the Dept. of Education.  Juicy part:

I think even progressives would agree that the Department of Education has been an abysmal failure. Hundreds of billions of dollars were spent in just the last few years alone with literally no measurable effect.

But the progressives claim they need more money.

I disagree. I recommend we excise the entire Department of Education and save tens of billions of dollars a year. Whatever they’re doing isn’t working and has never worked. And the United States survived just fine for over 200 years without an Education Department.

You may also be surprised that the Department of Education, in its official capacity, is a huge devotee of Saul Alinsky. Who is Alinsky?

He was best known as a community organizer and Marxist revolutionary who preached the violent overthrow of the United States government. He was, in many ways, the founding father of the current strain of radical Leftist Democrats. He advocated physical violence against those who opposed the left (“[we should break] the necks of Conservatives… [we] may resort to the sword”), he despised the U.S. Constitution and he sought to dismantle capitalism because of its inherent “unfairness”.

Some of their programs on their website:

• Alinsky Reconsidered: A Reluctant Community Theorist• TWO ANTI-POVERTY STRATEGIES–NEW CAREERS VS THE GUARANTEED ANNUAL INCOME – [Ed: this paper discusses two ways to undermine capitalism, one through a catastrophic “run” on the system (also known as Cloward-Piven); the other by a Statist reordering of the economy.]

This is not education.  You’re funding leftist indoctrination.  Abolish the Department of Education.  Yesterday.

Oh, yeah.  Leftists will claim that ‘you’re against education’ by advocating it’s abolishing.  Not true, it has done nothing to improve education.  The opposite, actually.

The Constitutional Hypocrisy of the Left

Courtesy of Michael Filozof and The American Thinker.  Juicy part:

I continue to be astonished by the reaction of the political Left to the Republican House majority’s decision to begin the 112th Congress by reading the Constitution on the floor. This has been mocked by the New York Times (whose business depends on the First Amendment) as “theatrical pomposity” and “fundamentalism.”  Today, Salon’s Michael Lind opined that we ought to stop treating the Constitution as “sacred.”

But don’t you remember when Democrats were in love with our sacred Constitution? Why, sure you do. It was only a few years ago that Democrats accused George W. Bush of “shredding our Constitution” by monitoring international phone calls of suspected terrorists. (The Constitution prohibits “unreasonable” searches. Apparently Democrats think monitoring communications of foreign terrorists is “unreasonable,” but full-body scans and pat-down searches of the traveling public at airports is quite reasonable).

And how could you forget that Bush “shredded the Constitution” by keeping terrorists detained at Guantanamo Bay without trials? Never mind the fact that the Constitution allows the suspension of habeas corpus “when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it” and that the Supreme Court upheld the detention of Japanese in World War II as fully constitutional. Never mind the fact that Barack Obama hasn’t closed Guantanamo as he promised, has he? Not that many shrieks of protest from the political Left.

Don’t you remember how the Left howled in protest over the “unconstitutional” Patriot Act? Oddly enough, when Democrats gained control of Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008, they never bothered to repeal the Patriot Act — did they? Seems that putting open homosexuals in the military became more important than repairing the “shredded” Constitution.

The fact is that the Democratic Party and the political Left in this country use the Constitution as nothing less than an instrument of pure demagoguery. When it suits them to cite it, they do; when it suits them to ignore it, they do; and when neither alternative suits them, they invent phrases out of whole cloth (e.g., “separation of church and state,” “jury of one’s peers,” “freedom of expression,” “right to privacy”) that exist nowhere in the Constitution and invest these phrases with constitutional authority.

Rules for thee, not for me.

The Crusade of Innocents

Courtesy of The Belmont Club and Richard Fernandez.  Juicy part:

Rectification is not an electrical term. On the Left it means “power struggle” or purge. In the beginning it will take exactly the form we are witnessing now:  a signaling exercise on the Left ostensibly directed at the mythical right but essentially aimed at sending a message to leftist politicians and semi-respectable activists that they haven’t been militant enough. It is an open political letter from one faction to the other. In the case of Greece the message is simple. Keep spending, the hell with austerity. The warnings to get clear of bombs suggests the “anarchists” still regard their targets as broadly fraternal, but the subsequent real explosions say their forbearance will not last forever unless the moderate left gets serious. The USA Today article continued, “”Anarchists-insurrectionists work to try to raise the level of clashes when there are problems’ said Marco Boschi, a criminologist who teaches a course on terrorism at the University of Florence”.  The anarchists themselves are ineffectual but provide the symbols around which the larger Left can rally.

Swiss anarchist and environmentalist Marco Camenisch, a hero to many anarchists, was arrested by Italian police in 1991 and imprisoned over the 1989 murder of a Swiss border police officer. After serving nine years in an Italian maximum-security prison, he was extradited in 2002 to Switzerland, where he was later sentenced for the murder. In April 2010, Swiss police with the help of Italian authorities arrested two men and a woman who idolized Camenisch and were members of an Italian eco-terrorist group. They were suspected of planning to bomb an IBM Corp. research facility near Zurich.

In fine anarchists are Red Guards of the European Left, a collection of dupes formed inside the vast and creaky infrastructure of Marxism to advance the interests of one faction against another faction. It is impossible to understand the politics of the Left without grasping that it is all about deniable intimidation. The real problem European anarchism solves is how to send bombs without seemingly sending them, or how to trash the Tory party headquarters in London without really doing it.

Read all of it.
