Five Reasons Why Romney is the Favorite

Peter Wehner offers 5 reasons why Romney is the favorite.  I think reasons 2 and 3 are the most crucial as we have seen stalwart supporters (especially in the MSM) openly criticize Obama in these categories as of late.   Juicy part:

Craig Shirley’s book Rendezvous With Destiny reminds us that 10 days before the 1980 election, Jimmy Carter led Ronald Reagan by one point in a CBS News/New York Times poll; and the morning of the presidential debate (October 29), a Gallup Poll reported that Carter had a three-point lead over Reagan. Yet Reagan outdueled Carter in the debate and ended up winning 44 states and defeating Carter by almost 10 points.

Toasted Marxist, I tell ya.

More from Charlie Cook:

Obama’s team faces a second challenge: Even as the undecided bloc of voters looks exceedingly inhospitable to reelecting the president, enthusiasm within the Democratic base, outside of the African-American community, is largely nonexistent. Polling data clearly show that Republicans, conservatives, and tea partiers are more motivated this year than Democrats, liberals, and what remains of the Occupy movement. Among the key groups for Democrats—young and Latino voters—enthusiasm is very, very low.

This campaign is far from over, but it is clear which side has the uphill climb.

I’d be glad to help the Obamas move out.  Weally.

    5. Ditto

There are many others but this is a good start!

    Braindead conservatives.

    • Most of the reasons of Obama’s demise are of his own doing. Who’s braindead?

      • The person writing “Toasted Marxist” would be my guess for who is brain-dead. And mind you, I do not criticize your opposition to the president, but merely your inept use of the word, showcasing your complete ignorance or indifference to the meaning of it.

      • Obama has opined and verified his admiration of Marxist ideology many times over. It was in his book(‘admiration for Marxists), his Christmas ornaments in the W.H. had pictures of Chairman Mao and…. in his actions via his membership in the New Party in Chicago (Openly Socialist) and in his relationships with Marxists such as Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis.

        To wit: http://keywiki.org/index.php/Barack_Obama_and_the_Communist_Party

Obama definitely has Marxist sympathies. The evidence is there if you choose to see.

      • 1. Obama had no ‘relationship’ to Bill Ayers of Frank Davis. You either know this and intentionally lie, or you did not pay attention.

        2. There is no quote in any of Obama’s books in which he speaks of “admiration for Marxists”. In fact, the only times the word appears is when it is either used as an insult against him (Audacity of Hope, pg. 125, re: supporting universal healthcare) or when he is making fun of them. Only in one instance is there any association with them, when he describes how he picked friends so he wouldn’t be “seen as a sellout […] The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy.”

        3. The Ornaments were made by local community groups. Not the Obamas or their staff.

        4. The “New Party” is not “socialist” and there is only one person saying Obama was ever a member, and that person is not Obama.

But most of all, there is nothing in his actions as a Senator or President that would bare out your inane characterization.

      • I’ll have a post especially for this topic. Come on back! Cheers!

  3. First post is complete for your viewing pleasure, Mr. Kontrol.
